a brief interruption makes use of recycled obsolete technology to create an abstract film made from pure data.

The images are from broken mini-dv video files incompletely recovered through a data recovery software, meaning the content that was once in the video clips is now jumbled into meaningless data. Whilst the sound is created solely from an obsolete internet dial up tone, used to send and receive data, this was something once prevalent but now all but vanished in western culture.

Technology is created and used and then thrown away.  But how can it be recycled to create something new?
