New Music Video for M. Del Carpio "Origami"

Martin Del Carpio commissioned me to produce a video for his track Origami.  Our shared love of underground music and experimental film led to the creation of this abstract work.

Here is a short statement about the video:

"The video aims to capture a raw, organic, tactile energy by scratching and painting directly onto found super 8mm celluloid film. I wanted the film to feel like it’s barely holding itself together and the whole thing could collapse at any moment. The film spontaneously flickers and burns, until it loses stability entirely and begins to break apart."

AVI Festival Art Video International

I am screening three videos at the AVI Festival Art Video International in Jerusalem, Israel during December: The Frozen People, The Beautiful Ones, and Scratch.

The festival takes place on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays throughout the first 4 weeks of December during hamshushalayim events in Jerusalem.

The AVI Festival is being held at the Israeli cinema museum located in the Cinema city complex.

NEW MUSIC VIDEO FOR BUNTY

I've produced and directed a new music video for Brighton boss Bunty!  I worked with the performers for a long time to get the right movements alongside choreographer Pepa Ubera, a recent Saddlers Wells artist in residence.

‘Way Out’ depicts a complicated love affair which interweaves joy and pain through a heartwarming narrative using only the body for communication.

VIDEO ART COMMISSION FOR GULLIKSSON

I was commissioned to create a looping “moving painting” for the Swedish law firm Gulliksson. The concept was to bring to life the Gulliksson logo - an abstract painting - so I set to work creating luscious, flowing, colourful forms using a mixture of paint, ink, and oil.

The piece was featured on lbbonline and HERO producer Kate Myers said about it: "Andy’s work is both beautiful and hypnotic, I can really visualise this sort of creative being ideal for sponsorship idents."

Below you can see stills of the video in-situ on their website, and head over their website www.gulliksson.se for the real live version!

PEDRO CAXADE "EMIGRANTE"

I cut this charming video for Pedro Caxade and his campaign #weareallmigrants to fight prejudice and rehumanise perceptions towards migration.

This video portrays the reality of millions, trying to improve their lives, getting a job and searching for better opportunities. It is all of us. Love the video and share this positive message, we have all been there.
